My Plein Air art group took 2 nights and 3 days there and we left deeply inspired and with some really great artwork, endless rock formations framed by beautiful creeks, aspens, pine, and cottonwood.

Cabin was easy to find and is in a great location for access to the creek or nearby trails.

Gone a bit downhill compared to past years. No equipment to split wood, overrun by mice.

This has been a regular event for me over the past 6 years -- a night of solitude at Stony Cabin. Woodstove is one of the best I have used in any cabin, easy to operate and keeps you comfortable no matter what is going on outside. Always a clean cabin to enter into -- hopefully this continues as more use is occurring. Recommend the venue to anyone -- trails in area to explore any time of the year, nice drive along a scenic Rock Creek, wildlife viewing opportunities. I use this retreat to have a day of cross country skiing or ice fishing in the Georgetown Lake area, as it is very convenient and simple accommodations. Enjoy!
