Stunning. My 4 yr old and I loved it! Fivemile was her fifth lookout rental. The oven and such needs better directions on lighting pilot lights. Luckily I had an idea but it’s not easy.

Stunning. My 4 yr old and I loved it! Fivemile was her fifth lookout rental. The oven and such needs better directions on lighting pilot lights. Luckily I had an idea but it’s not easy.

The lookout was well stocked with all the essentials needed to cook, clean and be entertained! Be sure to bring an item like tp, paper towel, or cleaning wipes to replenish what you use and leave for the next guest.

Very neat spot, jumped on the trail just outside for some hiking. Lookout was clean, felt like it was stocked with everything we needed to cook food. We made a fire that kept the lookout nice and warm all evening and night. My only concern was I never got the code to the gate in my email. I had trouble getting in touch with someone that could tell me the code because it was a Sunday and all the offices were closed. This caused some stress not knowing if we would be able to get in.

Really gorgeous facility- lookout was very clean and had incredible views. The vault toilet was also very clean. We saw an owl and several deer on the drive in. If you don’t get the code in an email, call the ranger station. They’re very nice. Road was fine for most vehicles as long as you don’t have lower than average clearance.
