Nice home-y cabin , comfortable weekend get away, Take blankets/towels(not provided) No issues - we rented a mountain cabin and we got a mountain cabin - fireplace was awesome for s'mores with the grand kids, snow slide hill was great and within walking distance. would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Colorado's mountains.

This cabin was incredible especially for the price. We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights and it was a jammed packed 5 days of hiking, snow shoeing, seeing Jim Bishop's castle, and sledding. We were out and about all five days but the only people that we ran into were Kevin, the national forest ranger, and his wife. The cabin was very warm, has hot water, a fireplace, fully stocked kitchen worth of dishes, silverware, and cookware, washer and dryer, microwave, oven, and a large garage area perfect for keeping snow covered items to thaw and dry out. We rented snow shoes at the REI in Colorado Springs and used them every day. Ranger Kevin (that works out of the office near the cabin) and Ranger Lori, from the National Forest Service office in Pueblo, gave GREAT suggestions of how to spend out time including the best places to snow shoe and where the best hot springs were and were so fun to talk to in general.

The cabin is private and walking distance to the lake. It comfortably fit our group of four adults and two children.

We've been going to this quint cabin for several years and it's like coming to our home away from home. So inviting and the location is perfect for fishing, hiking, a campfire some years. I love this place!
