Love this cabin! I try to get to it once or twice a year. I really appreciate how well the FS and the community of renters keep it clean and cared for. I've learned that the cabin is so well insulated, that I have the best luck opening the cabin door to get the fire going in the stove

This is our third visit to Pole Creek Cabin. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and abundance of hiking possibilities. Part of the magic is not having cell service and that lends to more quality time with your people and animals. Please take plenty of water and stay hydrated and always plan for every type of weather.

This is a piece of heaven tucked away in the mountains! It offers just enough”luxury” yet still is rustic with no running water or electricity. It’s beautiful, peaceful, quiet. The wood burning stove on a chilly night is my favorite part. It’s close to Crazy Woman Canyon and other really fun places to explore. The cabin has a very well made and the bunk beds are comfortable.

Amazing cabin. Clean. Well appointed. Everything you’d want - except for the neighbors. The Forest Service allows camping literally almost right up to the door of the cabin - so you’re subjected to music, generators, noise, 4-wheelers, and boozing. Skip this on weekends or anytime you’re looking for solitude. Off season - it’s amazing!

Found the Pole Creek Cabin very comfortable. Wood supply was well stocked as was housewares in the kitchen. Our bonus was the appearance of the Aurora Borealis on Friday night. We will be back! Thank you.

Such a great place. Canned food, paper towels and fire starters left by last occupants even a little extra water. Mattresses for the beds required less stuff to bring /carry. Plenty of wood. We enjoyed the solitude and reading the scary stories written by previous guests. The 1/2 mile hike was a great adventure by starlight Basic cabin but pans and basics made it easier than expected.

Gorgeous location. Cabin exactly as described. We didn't realize other people could camp very near cabin, so we did have an RV neighbor near us but no issues, just not as remote as we were thinking it would be. Also some trails cut through the cabin property grounds, though we only saw a couple of people on horseback once so not tons of traffic. Excellent place for a base camp, beautiful trails very close by.

Quiet and peaceful. No cell reception which is great. The road back into the cabin is pretty rough. A truck is recommended. I would love to see a few more cabin put up in the Bighorns. Maybe a some in the northern half as well as a few more on the southern end. I'm certain they would be booked just like Pole Creek and Muddy Guard are.
