Such a beautiful cabin. What an escape. We explored the area. There is so much history to the cabin and the area.

Pros: - adorable cabin, love the coziness, old furniture, the fridge was a plus! - nature - sister time Cons: - killed 18 wasps inside the cabin while we were there. 10 were originally inside when we arrived. We kept the doors and windows closed, but still had 8 more the next day periodically come in. I got stung once while making lunch. - there is no water on site to wash dishes. We brought our own drinking water and washed the two pots we used with it.

What a beautiful and peaceful time of the year at the Bull River Guard Station, and NO mosquitoes! This is a must visit to go back in time and enjoy peace without the noise of electronics.

Historically this cabin is amazing! You cannot beat the orchards and actually staying in someones 100 + year old home. The Cedar Forest across from the cabin is a neat walk and the creek is fishable. The cabin isn't "super clean" but you're camping with a roof over your head essentialy. Lots of bugs and bats...but we were spared the mice so that was nice. Cabin needs some dishsoap and cleaning supplies so bring your own. This is just a very cool place to get to stay and be a part of history...priceless!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Definitely isolated and peaceful. Didn't have any issues except finding the resident mouse in the kitchen cabinets, lol.

The cabin is nice and it was very clean. Well stocked with kitchen ware. Be prepared for some mosquitoes early season.
