A well taken care of cabin and holds the heat in very well.

This is one of the best cabins in the entire system. The views are spectacular. There a few little creeks close to the cabin, so water is no issue. The only negative is the fuel you have to bring up, esp in the winter. Two gallons of kerosene per day weigh pretty heavy in your pack. Be warned about the winter trail: its shorter, but MUCH steeper than the summer trail.

We loved this cabin! It has the most efficient oil burning stove by far compared to all the cabins I have stayed in before. 1 gallon lasted two nights and a day. The setting and view from the deck cannot be beat. We can’t wait to go back!

The winter trail has a lot of roots and it is difficult to pull a sled up without adequate snow, if you go early in the winter I recommend carrying your gear in a backpack. In 30 degree weather we burned 2 gal kerosene per day keeping the stove on all the time. The cabin itself is nice with some recent maintenance done and has great views.

We had a great time and the snow was awesome for skiing above the cabin. The views are incredible from the cabin and the surrounding area. Trail to the cabin had very thin snow coverage till about the last quarter to half mile. The hike up was a struggle because we thought we would be able to skin most of the way but ended up bootpacking 90% of the trail. Also one of us pulled a sled which I personally wouldn't recommend without better snow coverage. It was very strenuous for him and those of us who had to keep squatting with our own packs to lift the sled over obstacles. It gets super warm in the cabin especially in the loft. Even with the heat turned low it was uncomfortably hot for sleeping even outside of my sleeping bag. Temps were in the 20s while we were there, so maybe if it's colder you'd want more, but for us four gallons of kerosene for two days was pretty excessive. Obviously better to be overprepared, but I would bring half as much next time in those temps. The cabin is nicely stocked with some games and puzzles. I enjoyed the cooking area with ceramic tiles for your camp stoves. Also loved the amount of hooks and clotheslines for drying things. Also there are string lights for the dark times but you need a power bank of you want to use them. Definitely nice to have this time of year with only about 7 hours of daylight.

My friend and I really enjoyed this cabin. The view is unparalleled and lived up to all expectations. The trail into the cabin in the summer is easy to follow and well marked. The cabin itself is fantastic and very spacious. The outhouse is clean and not to far from the cabin (you know it's all about the quality of the outhouse)! These are my two concerns. The first is people that hike this trail seem to have a complete lack of respecting people's privacy. We had this cabin for two nights and the full day we were out there we encountered three separate couples that walked up to the cabin interrupting our experience. One couple was a delight, we overheard the second couple talking about wanting to look inside (no thank you!) and the third couple was the worst. We hadn't brought a lantern but we were playing card games at 10 pm inside when a man crept up the stairs onto the porch. He stuck his head up in front of the window behind my friend and scared the absolute crap out of me. It was totally unacceptable and an invasion of privacy. Just be warned that if you stay in this highly popular cabin you will have unwanted visitors. I have one friend that brings bright flagging with a pre-written message and puts it up when she goes to cabins. Highly recommend that. That brings me to my next concern and that is that this cabin does not have locks or deadbolts on the doors. I would love to see locks installed since it's in bear country and swarming with unwanted guests.

Becsure to bring Tp. As there was no kerosene and we couldn’t carry it in, dress warmly.
