A well taken care of cabin and holds the heat in very well.

We loved this cabin! It has the most efficient oil burning stove by far compared to all the cabins I have stayed in before. 1 gallon lasted two nights and a day. The setting and view from the deck cannot be beat. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time and the snow was awesome for skiing above the cabin. The views are incredible from the cabin and the surrounding area. Trail to the cabin had very thin snow coverage till about the last quarter to half mile. The hike up was a struggle because we thought we would be able to skin most of the way but ended up bootpacking 90% of the trail. Also one of us pulled a sled which I personally wouldn't recommend without better snow coverage. It was very strenuous for him and those of us who had to keep squatting with our own packs to lift the sled over obstacles. It gets super warm in the cabin especially in the loft. Even with the heat turned low it was uncomfortably hot for sleeping even outside of my sleeping bag. Temps were in the 20s while we were there, so maybe if it's colder you'd want more, but for us four gallons of kerosene for two days was pretty excessive. Obviously better to be overprepared, but I would bring half as much next time in those temps. The cabin is nicely stocked with some games and puzzles. I enjoyed the cooking area with ceramic tiles for your camp stoves. Also loved the amount of hooks and clotheslines for drying things. Also there are string lights for the dark times but you need a power bank of you want to use them. Definitely nice to have this time of year with only about 7 hours of daylight.

Becsure to bring Tp. As there was no kerosene and we couldn’t carry it in, dress warmly.

The view from this cabin was incredible. The cabin was beautiful. I definitely want to go back!

We had an incredible time at Dale Clemens! Gorgeous sunset when we arrived and gorgeous sunrise the next morning. The cabin was clean and still warm from the previous group. (Thanks!) First full moon of 2023. We used the 1.5 gallons of kerosene that was left at the cabin. We left 2 gallons of kerosene at the cabin for the next crew. A magical trip!

The view is pure heaven! Glad we had snow shoes to get up and back end of May. We took the winter trail since we didn’t know what snow conditions would be like on the summer trail. Is there a way to check snow conditions?

Cabin was clean and warm throughout the entire stay.It's my favorite cabin view in Alaska. The two mile hike uphill in the soft snow was an effort, but always worth it. For reference the heater burned about 1.25 gallons of kerosene per day in temps of 25-35.
