The view is pure heaven! Glad we had snow shoes to get up and back end of May. We took the winter trail since we didn’t know what snow conditions would be like on the summer trail. Is there a way to check snow conditions?

Cabin was clean and warm throughout the entire stay.It's my favorite cabin view in Alaska. The two mile hike uphill in the soft snow was an effort, but always worth it. For reference the heater burned about 1.25 gallons of kerosene per day in temps of 25-35.

Got lucky with clear skies! Stunning cabin from the winter route on Thanksgiving. Took a bit for the cabin to heat up, but that’s to be expected. Not a snowmobile in sight. Will be back!

Excellent clean fun experience for kids. Fantastic views

Cabin was fantastic!! Gorgeous views, perfect location!! Suggestion: Perhaps whomever is in charge of maintaining the hut could leave a big pot there? That way winter guests would have a pot in which to melt snow for drinking. We brought our own pot, but such a simple addition to the cabin would be nice so that guests don't have to schlep a pot up there on their backs.

Favorite cabin, we go every winter for two nights with friends.

Awesome cabin with a great view of Res bay and the town of Seward. Great set up and since it’s often used, it’s maintained and well supplied. Will be back there! Lots of recreational things to do year round
