What a nice little cabin! We were a little concerned about mice after reading some of the other reviews, but none were seen. Not even droppings. We left 4 unused mouse traps in one of the drawers in case someone else needs them. It was heaven to have running water in the kitchen and bath, and a special treat to be able to take a hot shower after a day of 4-wheeling out in the dirt. Stove, oven and fridge all worked great. We did not have a fire as it was too warm. The cabin is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Bring your own TP, towels, bedding (sheets, sleeping bags & pillows). Will absolutely book this cabin again.

Longtime forest service cabin renters. First time at the Beaver Creek cabin. Pros: super easy access in the summer months. The cabin was clean and it's always a treat to have a propane fridge and running water. Cons: close to Hwy21, so you can hear the traffic. Main con is the cabin was overrun with mice. We expect mice in cabins, especially in fall and winter, but in June was a surprise. We caught 6 mice in traps until we ran out. They were in the walls, on the counters, on the stove. Everything inside and around the cabin had mouse droppings. The most mice we've ever encountered at a forest service cabin or yurt. Pal accordingly and bring traps and steel wool to try and mitigate.

Cozy cabin with great scenery. Beaver creek was steps away, and very nice but short 2mile out and back hike along the river. Prwtty secluded for being close to boise. Kitchen was fully stocked, nice fridge, only thing id add was a can opener, one there was broken and mine not much better. Nice warming up to the wood stove at night. Definitely will stay again.

:-) if I say enough nice and wonderful things about this cabin tucked away from the hustle and bustle more people will want to rent it. and there'll go the neighborhood, jk! Sincerely though, I love the little community that cares for this gem. every time we come visiting there are new supplies or additions that really helps out the overall sustainability. Things such as left over paper products, instant coffee, or fresh wash cloths. One guy even left a note that he filled 137 nail holes. It takes a village, and I agree. thanks for the opportunity to be a part of that.

Lovely cabin and area. Quiet. Check the futon is assembled correctly or it may collapse in the middle of the night. Bring mouse traps. Kitchen is well equipped. Love the new curtains and rocking chair. The rocking chair was wonderful for middle of the night wake ups with our infant. Thank you Wes and Sheila for the loving care you've put into this special place. Many thanks to the forest service for providing so much wood to burn in the wood stove.

We love this cabin! Second time there for my birthday and it's becoming an annual thing. Beautiful hike just out the front door. Rustic, simplistic, and peaceful. Just what we need to escape busy city life and noise.

We have been staying there every winter for seven years. We enjoy the solitude and being off grid. Since there was very little snow this year, we did not see a single person in the five days that we were there. We always bring a project to make the cabin a little better. we are very thankful for the US forest service for making these cabins and yurts available. We do hope that they will do some very necessary repairs and repainting before the cabin deteriorates to an unusable state.
