This extremely little rustic cabin is next to a beautiful meadow with many deer, bugs, chipmunks, mice, beaver, and birds. It reminded us of Little House on the Prairie, with no running water or electricity. We shared the cabin with lizards, mice, spiders, and four active hornets' nests (in the actual cabin!!). We decided to leave the hornets alone, and they left us alone in return. It was an exciting experience, and this is NOT for glampers—the perfect place to bring your dogs and horses.

What a lovely place. Fantastic views of Mt. McLoughlin from the meadow nearby. Hosts at nearby campground were very helpful. Cabin has 2 bunk-beds (4 beds). Some evidence of rodents in the cabin, but with our dog we didn't see or hear them when at the cabin. Would definitely go back.

It was beautiful. The open prairie is stunning. We loved the historical feel. It was cold and there wasn’t much seasoned wood available yet, so make sure to have extra from somewhere. Otherwise, totally worth the rusticness.
