Beautiful lookout in southern Oregon. Gorgeous views and wonderful amenities. I loved being able to drive right up to the tower.

So far (of two we’ve tried), this is our favorite Lookout. It’s way up there, gorgeous views, comfortable (not plasticy) mattress, and pretty much private for us to enjoy when we visit. We’re booking for a longer stretch on our next visit! Pro-tip: often there are small extras people leave behind, like hand towels, string lights, and cups. We took a dirty towel to wash and left useful item behind for the next people. Pay it forward!

While the initial climb to the lookout is scary the first few times, it is well worth it! The views are outstanding, and the lookout is cozy and offers more amenities than many others in the PNW. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay and our dog would’ve stayed forever.

I would like to commend the staff at the Tiller Ranger dist. on doing such a good job at maintaining the lookout. The lookout out is always in great shape and clean when ever we have been lucky enough to get a chance to spend the night in such a beautiful setting. We are not the only people that visit there that has noticed that this is an incredible outdoor experience and are thankful that this part of our public land is well taken care of and available to the public for our use in the off season.
