Bear spray was left in cabin prior to our visit and it had gone off. Two groups had come through (including forest service) as it was commented on in the log book. There was a note warning of it written in a paper towel, but the cabin should have been cleaned properly. Our group suffered tremendously for two nights in there. Would have been nice to know prior to our arrival. I left a message with the forest service office a week ago and have heard nothing back. We love this cabin and location but this was very disappointing.

The wood stove is in nearly unusable condition. We didn’t know this prior to our trip and didn’t bring stove oil with the plan of burning wood. There wasn’t any cut firewood, but we were able to make wet wood work because we brought a chainsaw. If a wood stove is inoperable, it should be noted on the site before visitors spend a lot of money with the idea they can depend on a basic amenity.
