Great cabin, and always enjoy. If looking to “pay it forward”, would recommend bringing a chain saw to section some of the already down but still good quality trees nearby for a firewood stack. One of the splitting axes is probably going to have the end come off soon too. Lastly, since it is getting dark again, the propane Coleman lamp inside could use new glass and new mantles for it to be useful. Regarding the comments earlier about landing at any tides. It gets snug much above a 14’ tide, though will likely be doable. For above 14.5’ pull up onto the edge of the grass.

We loved this spot! The cabin is about 1/4 mile back from the beach and we had to cross a pond/beaver dam to get there (the water (pond) was higher at the beaver dam so bring your xtra-tufs - knee boots are fine but ankle ones won't cut it). You should be able to land at any tide here (or you could in 2021 when we went). The cabin was nice for our family of 5. It has a 2nd level that 2 of our 3 kids slept on (and helped space out 5 people cramped in the cabin). There is a water bucket next to the shed gutter for water (but filter it). The fish net hammocks were awesome too!

The cabin is fantastic! Gorgeous area. Lots of interesting beach-combing, good hikes, tons of wildlife. The wood stove is great, but bringing some dry wood can make it easier to get started. The oil stove is even better. Come prepared for rain and be aware, bear encounters are a very real possibility. The rain barrel is pretty overrun with algae so bring a filter and get your water from the steam behind the cabin. Thanks to everyone who's brought tools and chopped wood, keep paying it forward! The 'library' is small, but there are a couple of good books for cold days.
