Website and Application Requirements, Restrictions, and Prohibited Content Policy
Last Updated: March 20, 2026
This Policy applies to any website, web page, browser extension, or application (“Customer Property”) that accesses or integrates with the API, including any content displayed, linked, distributed, or promoted through the Customer Property.
1) Minimum Requirements for Customer Properties
Customer Properties must:
Provide substantive content and user value
Contain more content than advertisements (including in lists, feeds, galleries, slideshows, and other “infinite scroll” formats).
Include written content that demonstrates meaningful effort and is sufficient to engage a real reader/user base (not auto-generated “thin” pages).
Not be entirely image-based or otherwise primarily designed to avoid scrutiny (e.g., image-only pages with minimal text).
Respect intellectual property and rights
Not host or facilitate file sharing of copyrighted works (including links that primarily enable unauthorized access).
Properly attribute third-party content where required and use only content you have the rights to display.
Be maintained and monitored
Content must be regularly updated where freshness is relevant (e.g., news, pricing, availability, listings).
The Customer Property must be actively monitored for policy compliance, including user-generated content where applicable.
Clearly label advertising
Ads must be clearly separated from editorial or primary content.
Any embedded or native ads must be clearly disclosed as advertising/sponsored content.
2) Website and Application Restrictions
Customer Properties must not:
Use deceptive or harmful technical behavior
Redirect users to unwanted websites, force navigation, or use misleading interstitials.
Distribute malware, spyware, or otherwise harmful code.
Trigger automatic downloads or install prompts without explicit user intent.
Use pop-ups, pop-unders, forced redirects, or other disruptive behaviors designed to manipulate clicks.
Engage in deception or predatory conduct
Contain content or ads that are deceptive, unethical, predatory, false, or misleading.
Misrepresent identity, affiliation, endorsements, pricing, availability, or product/service outcomes.
Operate as an unreviewable shell
Be primarily an ad wrapper, doorway page, or affiliate-only page with minimal original value.
Be designed primarily to manipulate traffic, rankings, or clicks without providing user benefit.
