*See Policies/FAQs below for further information* This is Harvey the RV. It's a 32' Class C Sunseeker by Forest River, with a powerful and reliable Ford E-450 engine. What primarily sets this RV apart from others is that it has a bunkhouse with four beds in the back room, rather than a master bedroom with bunks in the middle of the RV. We have five kids, so when the kids are sleeping in the back we simply close off the doorway and have the rest of the RV to ourselves--and yes, it's great. There is also a large carpeted area in the back bedroom area that is perfect for the kids to play in and have their own space. It has one large main living room/kitchen slide, a large overhead cabin bed space, and a decent-sized bathroom compared to ordinary Class C bathrooms. There is a massive storage bin in the back that is so large it could honestly hold a twin bed and other living comforts like a separate apartment room--my kids call it "Harry Potter's room". We have it mostly emptied for you when you head off, but will leave the propane grill in there if you would like to use it. We offer optional delivery, dumping, and return gas fill-up (though if you want a discount, you do not have to take these options!). Pets are also an option, per our discretion. Return the RV filled up, dumped, and as clean and maintained as it was when you left, then there are no additional fees outside the standard renting fees. Bottom-line: we're more excited to get you out there and enjoying life rather than get nit-picky on financing details. Policies/FAQs: Q: Do renters provide dishes, cutlery, pans, bedding, toiletries, etc? A: We provide all cleaning materials/chemicals, dishes, cutlery, pots/pans, blankets, sheets, some soap, shampoo, toothpaste, bathroom tissue, and conditioner. Q: What is your policy on cleaning the RV upon return? A: Make sure the RV is as clean at return as it was at send-off. If not, there will be a second maintenance fee and (depending on the level of dirtiness) a cleaning fee of $20 per hour of cleaning. Q: When it was last cleaned/maintained? A: We ensure the RV is thoroughly cleaned prior to every rental. And I religiously maintain it (mechanics, fluids, brakes/tires, etc.). Q: How does the pet fee work? A: The pet fee is mainly associated with the cleaning that will be associated with pets, rather than as a damage deposit. Damage done by pets will be treated like damage by humans--after the security deposit, funds will be charged for repairs. Q: What kind of fuel does this use? A: Gasoline. It gets around 7-9 mpg, depending on terrain, weight, and driving style. If you run the generator while driving, expect around 1-2 fewer MPG. Q: Are renters responsible for taking care of filling or draining tanks upon return? A: There are a lot of tanks in an RV. Regarding the fresh water tank, renters can leave as little or as much in as they would like to upon return; no worries. For the fuel, black, and grey tanks, there is a re-fill (fuel) and dump (black/grey) fee upon your return. If you return the RV with (i) the fuel tank filled up and (ii) the black/grey tanks dumped, then the fee is waived. Note: this fee *does not include* the cost of the fuel at re-fill. Q: Are there tools on the RV in-case something needs a simple repair or for hookups? A: Yes, there is a toolbox for these sorts of things. We also supply hook-ups and accessories for both water and electric, fuses, emergency motor oil, etc. Q: How does the delivery fee work? A: If you would like the RV delivered to you at check-in or from you at check-out, it will cost $300 if you are within 75 mi of us. If you would like it delivered *and* picked up, you will need to pay the fee twice, as the fee is just for delivery *or* pickup. You will also be charged for fuel and mileage, though mileage will count toward your free 100 mi/night. Sometimes delivery outside a 75-mile radius is feasible for us, but there is a fee of $2/mile past the 75 mi limit. Q: How are damages charged? A: All previous damage is agreed to prior to departure to ensure if any damage is done (or maintenance will be needed regarding damage done) while on your trip. After the $500 security deposit, further costs in damages will be directly billed to the renter, and (depending on the nature of the damage) a maintenance/service fee to fix the damage will apply as well. Q: How wide is the cabin door? A: The door is 24.5" wide. Q: How many seatbelts? A: 8 in total. Q: What are the tank capacities? A: Fuel-55g, Fresh-44g, Black/Grey-30g Q: Can I leave my car parked at your place while the RV is out? A: Yes. We have ample parking space on the farm, both covered and non-covered. Q: Can we hook up to the TV? A: There is a Roku on the TV and HDMI for Xbox, etc.
