Bama Campground & RV Park

We booked our weekend stay two and a half months in advance. On the day we were supposed to check in, on our way to the campground, we got a call that they were double booked. This was only two hours before check-in. They offered us a rain check with one free night, but we declined and took a refund. It would have been nice if they could have called and let us know even one day earlier, as it is a three hour drive for us to get there.

Edited as response to the business owner’s reply: We booked over two months in advance. If the double booking occurred on the day of, then why were we the ones canceled on? Shouldn’t it have been the people who booked that day?

I can’t even begin to say how peaceful and uplifting this place is! Comfy beds, beautiful views- you can’t ask for more. The owner was so incredibly kind and helpful, nothing was overlooked! I will absolutely be returning! And my pups were in heaven too!!

Absolutely loved our stay. The tent area is perfect for a tent. No concrete to be seen. Beautiful sunsets, trails to explore, and friendly host .
They are working on some areas of the park, and a few things are still on the list. But over all great stay and a hot shower.
Bonus : minutes from a grocery store or sipsey wilderness

Stayed here two nights in March on Wed and Thurs at tent site #2. I absolutely loved it. Woods behind and view of open field. Sites were pretty spaced apart which was nice although the tent sites were not filled. Shower was nice (good pressure, hot water) despite it being dated and not the cleanest. It worked for me!

Our stay at tent campsite #1 was fantastic! Even with the rain, our spot stayed dry. It was so peaceful, quiet, and clean. Steve was very responsive and good natured. He even offered other camp sites if we wanted, due to people canceling due to the rain. We'll definitely be back!
