What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Canyon Campground is well-maintained and offers beautiful, secluded spots among the pines, making it a lovely location for camping. The friendly and helpful camp host enhances the experience, with many guests appreciating the cleanliness of the facilities. While some traffic noise is present due to its proximity to the highway, it quiets down in the evenings, allowing for enjoyable stargazing and access to nearby attractions like Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Nice large (secluded) spots. Was tight to get my travel trailer parked though!

I loved this campground. It is beautiful among the pines and well kept. I really liked the campground host's friendliness and the care he gave the facilities.

Really nice campsite at the end of the loop. It’s meant for larger groups and there a several spots you could put up tents. There are two extra large tables with bench seats and a table for prepping. David was a very gracious host and checked on us each day. We really enjoyed our weekend!

The Cedar Canyon Campground is, in general, a fine campground, with the only real problem being traffic noise due to its location just off the highway between Cedar City and both Panguitch and Brianhead. (Yes, there was no water this year, and no fires allowed thanks to the current drought conditions, but that's not unique to this campground.)
However, this particular campsite (004) is arguably the worst site in the campground. It has NO shade, not over the table, not over the firepit, not over the best place to put a tent. What it does have is a lot of dust, thanks to the lack of a pine needle carpet. I strongly encourage camping here (I'll be back next year), but not at site 004.

We camped two nights, one with reservation, one with first come first served. Camp sites were well maintained, getting harder and harder to find for tent camping with the state, DWR, eliminating, pushing for more RV sites, $$. Pit or vaulted toilets were recently emptied, we know we saw the truck come into the campground. Camp host was friendly but intense, worried about us using a well enclosed covered candle as a table light when we also had a campfire, (we brought in our own wood and water to extinguish afterwards knowing the campsites had no water). Candle was well under our control and extinguished. I know the importance of the little things I have been camping my whole entire life sad others are irresponsible and all of us need to be admonished for it. The Sky's at the campsite at night are beautiful and perfect for Stargazing!! We set up our telescope and had a beautiful night looking at the stars without city light with dark sky's! It was a Beautiful Starry Night and we were able to capture some Beautiful memorable photos of the Starry sky! Not far from Navajo Reservoir, Lake, we went paddle boarding both days making for a wonderful trip, camping experience.

Campground and toilet was immaculate. The campground host, Dave, was real friendly and made us feel comfortable. Some road noise but it quiets down in the evening so it was not an issue at all. Real close to Cedar Breaks National Monument.
