Very clean campground; sites well spaced for privacy. Mostly in pine woods. Would definitely return. Dunes we’re beautiful, but necessary to drive to experience the Dunes.

Excellent NPS campground. Clean, roomy sites and good spacing between sites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Sink for washing dishes at the bathroom building. Multiple trashcans throughout the campground. Easy access to Platte River, and a short hike (or drive) to Lake Michigan. One note - you may have to pay to park at the mouth of Platte River (not NPS managed).

This is the best campground we have ever found in the NPS. All the sites are paved, well-spaced, and have electric hook-ups. The bathrooms are extremely clean.

Entire family loved this camp ground. The park staff did a great job keeping the park clean. It was really quiet at night and safe for the kids to bike and scooter on the roads during the day.

We left the campground on our 2 nd day (Tues.) to go into Benzonia to the grocery store ( we have an RV you like an over sized van so we have to drive it to go anywhere. Our paper was still on the pole out front showing we leave on Wed. But when we got back someone took our bundle of wood which was by the picnic table took the wood but left the plastic strap lying on the ground. Really nice of someone. Took the office people but they said well you didn’t leave any chairs out? No just bought $60. Chairs that Rock they would of been gone too. So don’t leave anything out!!

Far walk to the bathroom and water but that also made it private for our group
