Showers are in need of work. There is not enough hot water to provide more than one shower at a time and even then it's iffy to have enough for a complete shower. This has been an ongoing issue for years.

Thompson lake campground is a small secluded camp with plenty of of space between campsites. We had site 10 at the top of the loop, it was easy to back into and had water and electricity. Since Thompson lake is in the tri state region , you can easily drive to Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The campground sites are very nice. Bath house water is great in the shower until someone else turns on the shower ( broken relay ?). The only BIG ISSUE IS LOCKING THE GATE AT 9 pm. We walked the hill up to our site, I thought my husband would have a heart attack. Why does it need to be locked for entry it's a peaceful safe area. !!

The campground very well taken care of, very clean. So many activities to do near by my only disappointment was the fishing on the lake, I was there for a few hour and didn’t catch anything but still had a relaxing time. There’s also a playground for the kids. The bathrooms are so clean I was shocked so far the cleanest bathrooms of any campsite I’ve gone to.

This is a lovely, well kept campground. The hosts are friendly and hard working, they even rake the sites between stays!
The only issue that keeps this from being a 5 star review is the bathhouse. They are kept very clean, but there is only one shower per gender, and the water temperature fluctuates wildly. I understand that this is a 40 year old hot water system and desperately needs an upgrade.

Nice small campground with large, spacious partially/fully shaded sites. Hosts John & Deb and park rangers were wonderful. The lake itself offers great paddling opportunities and the hiking trails were phenomenal - well-shaded mostly with some open grasslands - could go distances with different trails.

It’s an awesome place, it’s quiet, clean and the trails around the lake are well maintained. My wife and love really enjoy our time there. We just wish it would stay open through Columbus Day.
