Hardly ever saw the hosts but the bathrooms were spotless as was the campground. Nice to have a little mowing where needed.

Buffalo Campground is my favorite in Island Park and has been for years. The hosts are always helpful and the camps
are cleaned and ready to go when the season opens. It is a yearly tradition for us.

Only problem was when the camp host was blowing off the paved areas and blew all the dust and pollen right onto our trailer, vehicle, stove, and everything.

We have come to this campground a couple of times. Both times were great. We love that they have a grey tank dump station, and that they had potable water spouts to use. We have stayed in F loop and B loop. Both were equally as good. It’s a beautiful campground, tall trees and the river not far away. You want to have mosquito spray because of the river, lots of mosquitoes; but not annoyingly. Definitely recommend.

From West Yellowstone, Montana, take U.S. Highway 20 south for 26 miles.
From Ashton, Idaho: Take U.S. Highway 20 north for 25 miles. The campground entrance is .25 miles north of Ponds Lodge on the east side of the highway.
Elevation: 1924 feet
0.3 mi drive to downtown Island Park (about 1 min)
