Very nice campground in a beautiful locatoin. Great camp hosts this year. I do wish we could do a little more maintenance on some of these campgrouds, maybe fill some of the giant potholes and replace rotted tables and firepits.

Absolutely gorgeous. Everything was kept very clean, the camp hosts were very present and walked the whole site and talked to everybody everyday.

We love to camp at Alturas Lake but we would really like to see you pave the camping spots like the ones around Red Fish. It just makes it so everything stays cleaner especially if it rains.

We stayed at space #27. It’s the only spot that goes in the wrong direction making it very difficult to park an RV. We checked with the park host to see if we were ok to go around the loop in the opposite direction to be able to park, he okayed it but there were other vehicles going the right way. This site needs to be changed to face the right direction or closed.

I reserved site #9 and it was so small I couldn’t park my trailer. Since there’s no internet in the area I couldn’t cancel and try to get a refund.

This is a beautiful spot, hard to get a campsite reservation; however, when you do, it's a great spot for a family.

The campground was clean and well maintained. We pull a 28 foot 5th wheel trailer and had plenty of space to park with our truck.
Our family loved the close proximity to the lake (within walking distance) and the young children loved the sandy beach and teenagers enjoyed swimming, fishing, and kayaking in the water. The campground host was pleasant and accommodating. This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed in. The beach was crowded on the weekend with people and ski boats so if you like to camp with fewer people, I recommend going on a weekday.
We also enjoyed nearby hiking and floating the Salmon River.
