Excellent care at this campground - always clean and well kept. Newish bathrooms are a big plus.

Best camping of the summer! Just across from the restrooms (really great ones I should add!), yet my spot was somewhat isolated and quiet. The weather was perfect! We saw lots of hummingbirds and our favorite groundhog. Family took us out on the Lake in their pontoon, and we had awesome food around the campfire. We even got in an 18 mile bike ride in and around IC/Coralville!

Love camping at West Overlook. There is direct access to the water and you can also walk to Linder Point where you can get on hiking trails. The only negative is that the showers must have some sort of water filter that makes the flow VERY weak, more like a dribble.

I love this campground. Always clean, sites arent to close, level spots are easy to get set up in.

The electrical outlets in some areas need replacing. In particular, the outlets at W84 and W83 are damaged, frame bent and should clearly be replaced.
Water should be added to the rest of West Overlook sites that do not yet have it.
Personnel have been great.
Really enjoy camping there but electrical outlets scare us.

a superb campground, large clean sites with good spacing. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. Close to town with many hiking/biking paths.

From Interstate 80 (Iowa City, IA) take Exit 244 towards Dubuque St./North Liberty. Travel north on Dubuque St. for 3 miles and turn right onto West Overlook Rd. NE. Travel on West Overlook Rd. NE for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
From Interstate 380 (North Liberty, IA) take Exit 4 towards North Liberty. Travel east on W. Penn St. for 2 miles and turn right onto N Dubuque St. Travel south on N Dubuque St. for 1.9 miles, at the traffic circle, continue straight onto Dubuque St NE. Continue traveling south on Dubuque St. NE for 1.8 miles. Turn left onto West Overlook Rd. NE and travel east for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
