This is one of our favorite camping spots. The town has lots of history and you could easily spend an afternoon walking around reading the historical markers in town. While your out walking, visit the businesses on main street for a tasty dinner or a unique gift. When your finished sight seeing, come back to Richey Cove and relax in a clean, well shaded and relaxing environment. Love this campground!

There was no potable water available. Thankfully the neighbor in the campsite next to us was kind enough to let us hook to their hydrant. Had to stretch 275 feet of hose to reach our campers. Unfortunately for the camper farthest away our hoses were 15 feet to short. We talked to several rangers regarding the lack of water and they were aware but just haven't got around to fixing it. But the rangers had plenty of time making sure you followed all their other rules. Other than the lack of water, it was a decent group campsite.

Please trim the trees back on the road that goes through the campground at Richey Cove, in particular the ones on the way way that every camper has to use to exit the park. The trees could create an expensive situation with damage to camper roofs, air conditioners, windows, etc. You can barely maneuver through the circle and around the boats, jet skis, etc., parked halfway off the road without some potential damage. The limbs overhang way too far and need to be maintained.
Thanks.
