What Guests Are Saying
Cottonwood Point is praised for its beautiful, clean campsites and scenic views by the lake, making it a great spot for water sports and relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere, with some returning frequently for the calming experience. Great end spot. Neighbors on one side only. Everything worked well. Site has good morning shade but no afternoon or evening shade. Wonderful water view! Close to the shower house if you need it.

Enjoyed going into Marion and to see the shops and stores. They have a nice antique store and small shops that are nice to browse. Not a whole lot of places to go other than that but a wonderful park.

Cottonwood campground at Marion Reservoir is a great place to getaway and enjoy some peace and quiet. It is a place that we will certainly come back to in our travels.

Was told bathroom and showers opened april 1st. Got there on the fourth nothing was opened. The next day i found a volunteer and she went to the office they opened the bathrooms on the other side of the lake but not the one across from our campsite. We picked that campsite because i am disabled and can not be far from a bathroom.

I was there from the 3rd to the 9th of April,2024 at site 29. Before I could set up my tent,I had to pick up trash, clean out the fire pit and the BBQ grill. The web site said the restrooms and showers would be open April 1st,they were not. I had to call the main office on the 4th and the restrooms were open by the 5th,still.no showers when I left on the 9th. I honestly believe getting rid of the gate attendants and assistants was a big mistake,I doubt I will be back unless.changes are made.
