I book a recurring spot here each year with my camper during salmon fishing season. My only complaint is the restrooms and showers are always so dirty. This year the toilets were backed up in the shower house. The floors are always wet and dirty too. Maybe leave a mop and bucket in each one and plunger as well.

We stayed for three days (Thursday to Saturday, October 16–18) for salmon fishing and had a great time. Our site, PK-1, was a small mobile home trailer with one full bed and a set of bunk beds — perfect setup for our group of three. It was simple, clean, and exactly what we needed for our annual trip.

Be sure to bring your own bedding, pillows, and towels — we used sleeping bags and it worked perfectly. Outside, there’s a picnic table, fire ring, and a couple of chairs, which made for a great spot to relax after fishing.

The Little Salmon River runs right along the campground, which is super convenient, though it does get busy during the season. There’s also a fish cleaning station, which was a big plus.

Overall, a great, no-frills place to stay if you’re here for the fishing!

I have been coming here for almost 20 years and will continue to come back year after year. They offer everything from tent sites to luxury cabins right on the banks of the Little Salmon River. There are plenty of activities for the kids every weekend.

I had high expectations of this campground after seeing pictures on their website.
I thought it would be perfect to bring the grandkids to.
We paid for an upgrade to what the staff referred to as "The Red Carpet" river site.
* Two feet in front of our camper was a water spigot that would feed two cabins, and our site. The hoses to the cabins were leaking, causing a mud hole, that led to ground wasp coming out.
* Someone had the not so bright idea of putting boards and cardboard over the mud hole leaving a mushed up gross mess.
* The main bathroom, next to the pool was disgusting! I would NOT shower in them, they were very gross. Thankfully another camper told us of us another area with showers, a bit further walk but much cleaner.
* The pool waterline looked like it was not cleaned in a very long time, and the pool was in need of vacuuming.
* Sitting at the pool, was a constant wave of odor that smelled like sewer, I believe was coming from the cabin adjacent to the pool.
* The pavilion that held some lame kid activities, the pavilion looked as though it had not been cleaned all season.
* The miniature golf, was full of weeds, and trash and the miniature buildings were in dire need of painting.
* Last but not least, the large dumpsters (at least 3, in different lications) were overflowing FULL and smelled horrible. One of the campers said that they were camping there for 4 days and it was like that the whole time.
So in a nutshell, I expected much better than what we received for the money. The BEST thing about the place is the LOCATION, being on the water. However, I thought there were going to be water activities

Our campsite location was great - R28, right on the creek. Our kid and friend’s kids had a blast playing in the water, even the dogs! Our complaints are with the service provided, attention to the campers, organization of the “planned” events, and changes in campsites without notification (even though we paid the lock-in fee). My husband requested upon arrival to have our tanks pumped and was told to ask in the morning and someone would be to our site to do so. I went to check-in to ask again first thing in the morning and was told they needed 24-hour notice, but they’d try to squeeze us in that day, no one showed up. I then asked again the 3rd time (the next day), and was told “we don’t do that service everyday, but maybe one of the maintenance guys will before they leave” - no one showed up again.
We stood in line waiting for the 9:45 wagon ride on the Friday we were there, which was apparently “canceled” but again, no notification that it was and had some pretty upset kiddos.
Computer malfunctions at the store left a quick trip that should have taken 5 minutes turn into a 10-15 minute wait.
Friends had their power turning on and off all day while maintenance worked on problems in the campgrounds, but again there was no notice of this and no offer of a refund. No to mention it was the hottest weekend of the summer so far and they were left without AC for a lot of them time.

These all seem like fairly simply things, I’m sure, but when you spend the money you do to stay the weekend somewhere, you’d expect more.
