Overall, the campsite and experience was great. With the weather staying above average for this time of year, the water could still be on without causing any damage but we enjoyed the campground as it was.

I believe that the decision makers are not paying enough attention to needs and wants of your customers/users. Turning off the water at the time you did is a decision that is made in the early summer. It is easy to just say "the day after Labor Day" without looking at local weather. The opening date has been pre-selected years ago and no one ever reviews the decision and/or makes adjustments for local conditions. The ND Parks and Rec department keeps water on to each campsite until the end of September. Shutting down wash houses this early is not a real decision, it is a pre-determined date with no adjustments for conditions. I camped last week, none of the nights got below 40 degrees and the days were 70+ degrees.
I think a local decision making process would be wise to serve the public. The local managers are smart and would make decisions that affect the local campsites in a better way than some far away decision maker that makes one decision for the ease of the decision rather than the good of the location in general.

We had no electricity from 10:15 PM to 7:30 AM. We had to use our generator because my husband has a CPAP machine
