Absolutely gorgeous spot. Bison all but walked into our campsite. Absolutely must stay here if in the area.

Excellent views in our campsite, but be careful where you pick your site. Ours had no shade and was about a quarter mile to the only bathroom. Also, it could be more clearly stated that the “fire pits” available are standing metal grills. Not really appropriate for an evening campfire. Otherwise we had an excellent stay, saw a lot of bison and horses. There was a sudden intense thunderstorm, so make sure to put your rain fly on.

Great CG and park. Lots to do especially loved the painted canyon hike, loop drive and wildlife (bison and wild horses) wandering the CG in the evening! Camp hosts very visible and welcoming to all.
