Had a wonderful time tent camping with the family May of ‘22. the bison were walking through the campground and the views of the little Missouri were peaceful.

The rain was heavy at times. Our site #9 needed a little more gravel to eliminate the water puddles and mud. A nice site with views to the river and the bluffs beyond. New restroom facilities with flush toilets, but we were a week too early, the doors were locked and the water had not been turned on yet. Plenty of trees for shade. Our stay was 5-11 to 5/14 2022.

This was a great campground. We’ll organized and clean. Sites are quite large. Running across bison in the campground was an added plus.

Cottonwood worked well for us. It was in an ideal location and we could easily see Bison and the wild horses right from the campground.

Spent two nights at a site on the Missouri River with a very short hike from the parking area. Wildlife was abundant, facilities were excellent, and the scenery was breathtaking.
