The sites are quite close together however, the orientation of the sites helps increase the level of privacy and solitude. We appreciated the quietness and flush toilets.
A solitary bison wandered in and out of our campground one evening, what a magical wilderness experience!

I loved this campground and camp site! A lovely walk to the river where we saw the feral horses each evening. And so many birds! We woke up early for a drive and saw 50+ bison on the road coming down for breakfast. I can’t wait to come back and camp here again!

Camping in Cottonwood was amazing! The sites were very spacious and our specific site was right along the river. We were able to see wild horses in the river and on the other bank. A herd of bison walked down the river and through the campground one morning as well. It was magical!

Nice campground. We were on the outside of the loop with a great view. Restrooms were clean.
