Theodore Roosevelt NP is a quiet gem. What made this an especially nice campground was how helpful the host was. I had to arrive a day early and he was so helpful switching the dates for me. He said that bison frequent the area and while I saw plenty in the park, I was happy to not have one by my tent!

There isn’t a bad site in cottonwood campground! Fortunately for us, we were traveling with another party because we booked site 47 and there was no way, without a lot of inconvenience, we would have been able to fit our 21’ camper in there even though it said it was a bigger site than 69, where we fit perfect. Thankfully we switched and all was good!
The campground was picturesque and I will stay there again! We only had 2 nights there but I think we could have spent more.
