Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. The campground was great. Very spacious for tent camping. I wish there were fire pits but I guess the fire danger is too high.

Close encounters with buffalo in the campground! Awesome. Perfect dark skies star gazing location. I’ve never seen the Milky Way so clearly.

The campground hosts were extremely helpful; they switched us to a better campsite because our camper was too long for the assigned site. The hosts were always cheerful and talkative - always smiling. They were so welcoming. We loved the National Park - the views were amazing and the trails were just perfect.

I loved Cottonwood campground. Sites are large and well spaced. Restrooms are conveniently located. Decent cell service. It's a short walk to the Little Missouri River. On our last day here, in the afternoon, a large bull bison walked right into our campsite. We gave him his space and he was docile and went on his way.
