Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. Many visitors enjoyed the close encounters with bison and the serene natural surroundings, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. Cant beat 14 bucks/night to be inside TRNP! Awesome! South loop...25 ft backins.. is good for tents and small campers. North loop heavy on pull through sites. some sites have brush views, but great views and wildlife are very close. Medora is close for supplies and food/drink.

Cottonwood is a lovely campground with clean bathrooms and an excellent location in the park. We even got to watch a bison grazing in the evening in an adjacent meadow.

The only problem with camping was the closest bathroom was under construction and the the next was 300 yards away. Otherwise the site was easy to access, tidy, well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful.
