What Guests Are Saying
Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. Many visitors enjoyed the close encounters with bison and the serene natural surroundings, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. While some noted issues with insects and site leveling, the overall atmosphere and friendly camp hosts contributed to a memorable stay.

Nice campground. Our spot didn't have a fire ring, which was disappointing. Very clean bathrooms, spacious sites.

We had a very nice stay at Cottonwood. The bathrooms were nicer than average, clean, and well ventilated. The campsites were shady and well spaced. The other campers were quiet and kind. We enjoyed a Sunday worship service in the ampitheater. We wish there had been an evening ranger program but it was cancelled due to staffing.

We had site 3 reserved but ended up staying in a different site. Do not select this site unless you are tent camping! There is no room to park a motor home a trailer or a 5th wheel. The parking parallels a road but is not 11 ft wide like the description states. A tree encroached on that space allowing only 8 foot of room. The length of the parking is also incorrect as the 56 feet must be shared by site 3 and site 4. The Campground host Barb was aware of the problem and allowed us to select another unoccupied site. There were wild horses in the campsite and bison further up the park road. The Campground and park were very nice! However, do not believe the dimensions listed on the site. Even a class b would have difficulty setting up. We were fortunate to be able to change sites. If one had not been available our class c would have been partially in the road in order to open our side door.
