Nice place, very clean. Spots along the lake in Area B are the newest and nicest. The inner loop in D & E seem a bit crowded and most do not have a lake view, but lots of nice shade. Nice open area across from B that has mature trees and good for dogs.

Great campsite as always but ants are terrible right now, worse than I’ve ever seen. And the boat launch is flooded, wish there was a dock here

Love this site! So close to DFW that we can a two night weekend with not problem. Only complaint is the 6:00 check in time. Views are amazing.

Very well taken care of campground. Sites, especially the pull thru sites are some of the most spaced apart sites in any COE parks we've been to. No underbrush and trash always cleaned up. Only complaint, the main drag/road...people need to slow down.

Clean, well-kept campgrounds. Many spots have a Great Lake view as well as a lot of shade trees.

We still enjoy coming here because we think it has the best beach area when the water is at normal levels. We stayed here 3 times last year. Grounds are kept nice and clean. Same complaints as last year though; E1's right side 30amp breaker keeps tripping (we camp all over with no power issues). They don't do anything about campers blasting the radio all day. We don't mind loud music at all, but when you have to raise your voice to talk to your spouse sitting next to you, that's getting a little out of hand. Host was right next to their campground cleaning and ignored it. They still haven't addressed the bathrooms, they are way worse this year, the same two shower heads are missing, and the bugs in the bathroom this year are unbelievable, I Iiterally had to shake the bugs off of my towel before drying off. BUT if you stay out of the bathrooms Burns Run West is a great place to stay.
