The restrooms at West Burns Run need a little upgrading. There is no soap. The faucets and mirrors are broken. The group camp area could use a real bathroom with showers, not just the primitive whole in the ground they have now.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! Even though there were many kids running about and young adults partying everyone seemed to respect other’s sites and most were respectful of the quiet hours. The beach was just a short walk from E07 and we enjoyed walking along the shore with our dogs (dogs are not allowed in designated swimming areas.) Sherman was a short drive and had everything a person could want in the way of stores, groceries, and restaurants. There is also a Camping World there (but a word of caution they are high-pressure sales people and SUPER over-priced for even the simplest things for a Travel trailer/RV.) Burns Runs West was a relaxing restful stay that we were in much need of. Also, the people running the place are super helpful and kind of anything you might need. The only drawbacks were minor. My husband said he wished the water spigot had been closer but thankfully we had an extra hose (but my husband estimates the spigot was about 40ft from our rig.) There was no sewer hook-ups but there are a few dump sites available within the park so we were able to empty tanks before we left. I definitely would stay here again!!!

Restrooms are not very well taken care of. I was there for 12 days and carefully watched cleaning attendants several times. They never took a mop into the restrooms or cleaning supplies. Kept toilets cleaning and toilet paper supplied, but other cleaning was minimal at best.

There are several spots in d and e that could use more gravel or blade in to be more level. I had to block my Rv up 6 inches on one side to be half way level on e-15

We always love coming to this campground. I love the sites and all the trees! We can bike and walk at this campground. The problem is however, it too hard to get in and when you do there are several spaces that are vacant. People reserve even when they are not going to be there and I don't feel that is fair. Let everyone have a chance to visit and decompress at this beautiful campground. I realize that the state park gets the revenue one way or another but it sure would be nice to be able to come and actually experience. It is very frustrating not to be able to book a space and then come and see so many empty sites or to see sites with RV's there but NO people!!! To me that is very selfish for people to take up the sites and not be there.
Many of us need these types of places just to decompress from daily living experiences:)
Thank you for taking such good care of this campground! Until the next time!

Great campground, very peaceful and quiet, with very easy access to running water. Just make sure to arrive before they close the gates for the night (you can always get out without any problems).
