Nice paved camping spots with 50 amps service, water and sewer at each site. Picnic table, fire ring and grill. Looks like most of the grills have been replaced with new ones. Lots of shade trees.

We have been going to West Burns Run for many years now. Usually camping spots A06-A09. These spots have a private beach, which is nice when you don't want your kids to bother others... lol A06-A08 are close to the bathrooms, has water, tables and a bbq/firepit... It's just a great spot for day use or overnight camping!

We were able to pull in early as the previous people left early the day we checked in. 10 out of 10 recommended the gentleman at the gate. Super nice. Campsite was clean!

Still a major problem of people staying without paying trashing out the park, corps need a sign in front at the gate, must have a paid reservation BEFORE setting up camp. They are being aloud to ruin camping for others, things tend to disappear from the camps around them. Rangers are aware their there and do nothing, anyone with a phone can bring up Rec.gov and see they are in a open spot that they have not paid. Paying customers watch them drive by and do nothing.

I have been a big fan of West Burns Run since I was a kid. But this year was different. It seems that the powers that be are now allowing homeless to stay in spots. I know its difficult to regulate but when a person has their broke down truck with the back window. Broken out and the hood up and the entire motor removed its a major failure for me.

This has the potential to be a five star campground - it has a wonderful beach area next to Lake Texoma and lots of shaded areas. The grounds themselves were well maintained BUT their bath house was the worst I’ve ever experienced. There was literally mold and mildew over all the walls and ceilings. We had no choice but to use them because we have got the water sorted out in our camper yet, but it was really gross. The ants were also so so bad. Our campsite was like one giant anthill. I’ve never seen so many ants in one spot in my life.

Lovely campground, big sandy beach, nice winding road to ride bikes on or walk, plenty of shade, clean restrooms and campground, nice concrete pads, great staff.
