Doris Campground

This site is flat and perfect for tents. You are next to wind shelters which provide extra parking too. Restrooms are very convenient.

This is a great campsite if you value privacy. You are separate from other campsites but still close to water, trash receptacle and restrooms. The wind whips through this spot so bring heave stakes for your tent if storms are in the forecast.

Mountains, hikes, lakes, and visitor center were all beautiful. The trails need better trail makers. It would be nice if water was at the campsites, and would be nice if the had full hook-ups for RVs. The volunteers are all very hospitable people. Overall a very nice park to visit for shorter stays.

It's a great place very beautiful very accommodating bathrooms were absolutely clean RACCOONS are in issue make sure you lock you coolers. There is a gang of them they robbed all our food from the coolers and some bottled water.

Every bit of the experience was great! From the check in process to the clean campsites, I couldn’t recommend this campsite more.

We even had some confusion about the reservation and the staff were very friendly when questioning us, in order to figure out what happened.

Lastly we had some severe weather come through. The staff came around to each campsite and updated us on what was happening.

Great location, and beautiful setting.. so much to see. Great hikes and cycling. Wild flowers were blooming beautifully. Host keep bathrooms and showers clean. Open range turkeys, buffalo, longhorn and elk. Most sites have a lot of shade.

Hosts on site were very friendly and helpful. Nicely set up campground with a little room between sites. Great park with wonderful wildlife sightings and hiking trails, Looking forward to another visit at a different time of year.
