What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Campground offers a well-maintained, serene camping experience nestled in a lush forest near the Oregon Coast, with many sites providing beautiful creekside views and a peaceful atmosphere. The campground host, Lee, receives high praise for his friendliness and helpfulness, enhancing visitors' overall experiences. However, some sites, particularly #2, are less desirable due to proximity to the restroom and road, and access to the beach requires navigating under the freeway, which may be a concern for some campers.

Nice, quiet campground. The host was great and the restroom was well maintained. Nearby Cape Perpetua where there is abundant hiking trails. Not too far from Yachats or Florence if you need to shop. No gas available in Yachats, however. This was our second time camping here and we'll probably be back.

Reserved site 002. Photo on website does not accurately depict what a bad location this is. We saw that multiple other sites were available so we went to the manager Sean and asked if we could move. He said there is no moving, no exceptions- we could call corporate. We had to drive 20 mins away to get cell service. Talked to a representative who told us she couldn’t do anything, that the campground manager needed to call a helpline. Drove back to the site and relayed this information to Sean. He called his boss and put it on speaker phone. No switching sites. If we wanted the next spot over, had to pay in cash. No refund on original reservation. Drove another 20 mins to town to get cash. Terrible customer service, will not reserve through rec.gov again.

We have stayed in campsite #15 a few times and love it. However there is a new director, she is host at Tillicum Beach, and she came by and told us we couldn’t pull our trailer in forward, she wanted us to back it in and our doors would be facing the heavily wooded bank with our backs to the campsite. We wouldn’t have had easy access to the fire pit, the creek or the picnic table! She said all the campsites are “back in” only. We politely told her we would not comply and that it doesn’t say “back in” only anywhere on the website that took our reservation. We stayed 5 nights and it was lovely and peaceful.

Lot of money for a campsite with limited access to potable water and vault toilets

Nice campground, sites 14 and 15 are more secluded. Beautiful forest and beach. Clean bathroom and friendly host. Our kiddo loved the glow stick she brought him.

Beauty in the trees. Loved the sound of the river. Camp host was very friendly. Bathroom was clean. Close to the ocean though not good access to the beach from the campground.
