We were there for only 2 nights. The gnats and mosquitos were so bad we were very uncomfortable. Our tent was 50ft from a big road and vehicles went by all day and night. G19 was not a good campsite. Hate to be so negative but we really didn't have a good time.

The campground felt somewhat rundown and neglected. The restrooms had no toilet paper for our first two days, then when finally serviced was vandalized and 80 % of new filled paper was destroyed. Having no camp hosts has consequences. I did not appreciate the camp neighbors cussing and yelling at their children way after quiet hours and many campers ignoring the quiet hours altogether. We made the best of our trip but it took more effort than it should. Bugs were bad but weather was terrific. The park staff we encountered at pizza joint and resort services were friendly and helpful.

Diamond Lake is a beautiful place. There's a 11.5 mile mostly paved path around the lake that makes for a fun bike ride.

Nice campground. Never saw a ranger until my last day. Tried to register when I arrived but they were closed. Same for the next day. Looked at a map another camper had to look for showers, but it was not up to date. Finally found the only showers after 5 days.
Campground was very empty. Only about 1/3 to 1/4 of the spaces used.

I was right on the water and had a wonderful experience with the campsite. The tent pad was flat, had a nice picnic table and fire ring and the views of the mountain across the lake were stunning. The bathrooms hadn't been serviced in a while but I'm not camping for 5 star bathrooms. You'll be about 25-ish minutes to the first overlook at Crater Lake. Perfect campsite and proximity to the park. Site was about 2 hours from Bend.

Beautifully lake, well kept sites, nice camp host, great bike path, close to Crater Lake, showers, fishing, pizza and ice cream next door, just a great spot! The gnats were intense right by the water and the trash near us could have been hauled a day sooner but it was a holiday weekend.
