Beautiful spot, great views of the lake and mountain. Generous size spots, well paved road. Bathrooms were clean, showers hot. Only reco is firewood for sale near the spots, I could have missed it.

Our campsite was on a hill. Probably not the best site. That being said I’d 100% go back. Our site felt more private compared to some. We had two families with two larger tents… we brought a rake to even the ground, but you do need to pack your stuff down a hill..

We camped above an underground yellow jacket hive and the forest rangers did not believe us. We left a day early and let them know so they could handle it and the entire conversation they were very belittling and were trying to tell us that it was nesting flies. I informed the lady it was yellow jackets and I was sure of it. The first morning when we saw the mounds in the ground, I asked them what it could be and they said they would go check it out. The next day we woke up and all the mounds were back and we actively saw dozens of yellow jackets flying in and out of the tunnels. I didn’t ask for a refund, I merely wanted to tell them so they could do something about it.

I love diamond lake and have been camping here my whole life. I was disappointed in their lack of concern for a potential safety issue. I understand we are in the forest and there are bugs everywhere, but camping above a massive hive of yellow jackets seems like a more serious matter than just some bugs.

I could bet money that if they dig up our site, they would find a very substantial hive. I had never seen anything like it but after studying it that second morning and seeing them digging and flying around, I had 100% certainty. Anyway, I hope someone has done something about it.

Also the restrooms had zero toilet paper in several of them.

Wonderful campsite and access to the lake and beautiful views. It ended up snowing while we were there (late June) but we managed. Great sites, bathrooms, showers, water activities, and, biking/walking.

Aside from the restrooms closest to our campsite being closed and there being ( well-maintained) portapotties in their place, we had a good time. It was very cold and it snowed, so we really did not partake of any of the other amenities. We liked how there were piles of wood everywhere. Great view, and Crater Lake was awesome.

It woukd he nice of folks dont show up their sites become available. There were so many sotes that were empty

The site (E3) had great water access and lovely sunset views! However it had very little shade until the evening (we went in early July) and was a decent walk to the bathroom and waste water drain. There was a water spout right across from the site though.
