The stay was nice. Beautiful scenery. The customer service was nice up until I was told, “Hi, unfortunately we are currently out of s'mores kits” and “I'm afraid none of our amenities would suffice as a dessert. Doordash does deliver here as long as you put the cabin name in the address and that includes grocery stores. Apologies for the inconvenience!”. I was taken back at this response as it clearly list there’s a s’mores kit as part of the amenities. Overall, the place was nice and they kept in contact with me during my stay and even afterward.

Quite honestly, this was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in years. I'm a Marriott Titanium elite member and had more than 80 nights with Marriott last year. I cannot recall a more relaxing overnight experience or a more customer focused staff than what I experienced in my 4 nights at the Postcard Cabins in Lake Hartwell this past week.
My wife and I came to this property because we were in need of a retreat; a break from everything and everyone, which is exactly what we got. The cabin (Gennario) was immaculate. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the heat and air conditioning were responsive, the cabin was well stocked, and it was so quiet. We weren't roughing it by any means, but we did get back to basics without a freezer, a small two burner stove (no oven), and limited space for "stuff". It was perfect.
The staff...where to begin. These people are the heart and soul of the place. They are caretakers in every sense of the word, focused on making your stay as stress free as possible. We had snow and they were salting the road and steps to the cabins right away. They drove a truck and raked the snow throughout the day. They offered to let us stay at the main house if we lost power. We got fresh towels, supplies, and more every day. They came by with more firestarters and lighter fluid when I had trouble getting my firepit started. Everything we needed, these people took care of with a smile and genuine warmth. They are caretakers of the property and care takers of their guests. I cannot thank them enough for being such wonderful human beings.
If you go (and you should), relax. You won't run out of hot water. You will live without a microwave oven. Do bring whatever cooking utensils you think you might need, like a serving spoon or ladle. They don't provide mitts if you decide to cook on the grill or grilling tools like tongs and forks. The cabins have plates and silverware for 4. Salt and pepper are provided, but if you want other seasonings or oil, bring them. There's a small fry pan and a 3 quart pot with wooden cooking utensils, so for two people it's just fine. They provide two dishtowels and you can get fresh ones as needed. They also give you a new sponge to do your dishes with. No topsheet on the bed, so we brought our own. Also brought a plastic table cloth for the picknick table outside. The hot water kettle they provide holds enough water to make two bowls of oatmeal and two cups of coffee.
The experience was amazing, relaxing, and worth every minute. Thank you to the entire Postcard Cabin staff. We are looking forward to our next trip!

I booked a two day stay for my dad as a Christmas gift and it happened to be this past weekend during the winter storm! My dad was a bit nervous due to possible power outages. Everyone on staff was super lovely and communicated updates to me in a timely manner. They had extra blankets and food on standby as needed. My dad also said that the staff was consistently taking extra measures to salt and remove ice from the cabin steps. I am super grateful for the attentiveness of everyone on staff. My dad was super happy with his stay and will be returning - hopefully with better weather. Shoutout to Aaron, Christine and Abigail for their communication during this winter storm ❤️

I can’t even begin to describe the absolute beauty this place has to offer. From the stunning scenery to the cabin itself, I was in complete love from the moment I turned onto the gravel road. I planned a weekend getaway to unplug and be one with nature, and this experience gave me everything I hoped for—and so much more.
The thoughtful details truly set this place apart, from the firewood, to the smores package, to the snacks waiting in the cabin—such a charming and welcoming touch. I give this place a 10 out of 10 and will absolutely be returning and recommending it to everyone I know.
The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, replying to my messages promptly, checking in to see if I needed anything, and even making sure I made it safely to my final destination after checkout. I could go on and on about my experience, but I’ll simply say that I loved every single moment of my stay.

I’m giving four stars because I do not want to hurt their rating, but personally this was a one star experience. This review is just to help future guests know what they are really booking, because if this is your style it could easily be a five ⭐️ star adventure for you.
I have tent camped most of my life, and at one point I even upgraded to a pop up camper, which now feels like a penthouse compared to this setup. This is not a cabin. It is a trailer on wheels wearing a cabin costume. Cute idea, but very tiny.
If you love this area, want total peace and quiet, and do not want to deal with camping gear, you might actually love it. For us, the size was a shock. I am not sure if the square footage is listed, but it is worth checking. There is barely enough space to open a suitcase, let alone two.
Now picture this. We arrive late at night in pouring rain, step into this freezing cold little box, and thank God we grabbed wine. My husband saw the look on my face, immediately opened the bottle for me, and cranked the heat like his life depended on it. He was one hundred percent afraid of me and trying to stop a meltdown before it began. He even kept checking the listing photos like maybe he missed something.
There is no microwave, and the only cooking options are scratched up Teflon pans that look like they belonged in a museum of chemical exposure. Also there is no mirror anywhere. How hard would it be to hang one above the toilet or in the kitchen.
Now for the good parts. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and the big window looking into the forest is actually beautiful and probably the best part of the entire space. We came to explore the area, not to camp, but if this kind of minimalist rustic escape is exactly what you want, you might honestly love it.❤️🏕️
Just sharing an honest and slightly dramatic review so the next person knows exactly what they are walking into.
