I've been to Tinney Flats before and enjoyed it a lot because it is shady, which is why I tried to go back. My sister was in town from Florida with her kids and another niece from Florida who has never been camping before. I rented this place and loaded gear for 11 of us in two cars. However, the road was closed the last couple miles right before the campground and no one informed us via email. It was due previous bad weather that had ruined the road. The sign said you could go allll the way around another way which I've driven before and know it is 1.5+ hours which we couldn't do cause we had a 2 year old plus 9 kids total. I contacted recreation.gov three times and explained this and they wound't refund any money. My local area wouldn't refund it either. SO if you go here, be sure to somehow check for road closures or you'll have a bunch of disappointed kids and will spend 2 days packing for nothing and be out $60.

It was a disaster. There was no camp host. The bathrooms were locked. The water was shut off. No firewood. Not what I expected since I’d paid money to stay there. The only plus side was the fact that no one else would stay so it was quiet.

No hosts there, others stayed and did not have to pay. No one was there due to the fire. And the closed road up Santaquin Canyon. I could NOT take my Trailer. None of water was on, out houses were open, flushing toilets closed. Could only use a tent. Would like another use of campground this next year same time. Not having to pay, due to 2019 payment. Thank you
