The campground is nicely situated. It is about a 15 mile (45 min) drive on a well maintained gravel road from Saratoga hot springs. I recommend a visit to the hot springs (hobo side is free open 24/7). Some of the campsites are not maintained very well such as 15 and 16. The picnic tables (made of concrete I think) sunk into the ground when it was muddy and so the seats are very low. This campsite is near to Jack Creek and I saw people fishing though I did not fish nor do I know if they caught anything. On Jul 1-3, the campground was not full. The first night was very buggy and we had to sit very near the fire to find relief. The second night some gusty winds were about and the bugs were hardly noticable. Most of the people using the campground had ATV's so it seems to be a popular place for this activity. I was there for hiking and I hiked the Continental Divide Trail (out and back). I did not find other places to hike that didn't require a fairly long drive on gravel roads except along Jack Creek. The campsite did have a well (manual pump) and a small building containing a chemical toilet. The toilet was very clean and didn't smell much at all.
