The tent sites are walk-in sites. This is not disclosed in the description. Not only are they walk-in, you have to walk through other people's sites. Site #15 is up a hill, as well. The sites are incredibly small and are unlikely to work with a tent any bigger than a 4-person tent. We were unable to stay due to all of the aforementioned issues. We were also unable to cancel our reservation due to a lack of service, and were later denied a refund because we weren't able to cancel it online. More honest and clear information for those of us looking to make reservations ahead of time would be incredibly useful.

Camp host was awesome - friendly and helpful to many of us. Quiet, peaceful. The only improvement that might happen would be increased flow from the main water spigot:)

Spectacular views from campsite #9 but noisy given location along side Hwy 16. Noise drops rating from 5 to 4 stars. Easy walking distance to Meadowlark Lake and all its recreation opportunities. Camp host, Doug from Cheyenne, was very friendly.

Nice small campground with wonderful views of the lake and daily visits from a mamma moose and her little one. There is a path to the lake, but you need to drive back to the road to the boat ramp. Clean vault toilets and good firewood.

8800 feet up, cold in September! One-night stay on a road trip. There was a bull moose browsing across the lake in the morning which is hard to beat. Three stars because the camp host was absent during our whole stay and the honor system firewood for sale at the camp host's site was out of stock. Firewood is important this time of year at this elevation. I would have bought some at Buffalo before heading into the mountains, except the website had said it would be available for sale on-site.
