As always, we had a great time. The cabin is in one of the most beautiful locations on the forest. It is fairly well stocked with most of what you might need. Great for group activities.

Well equipped kitchen. Bunkbeds were very comfortable. During summer months bring an extra sheet to hang onto moulding of entryway in order to block the sun from coming into the kitchen. This will help keep the cabin cooler. There was salt and pepper. You may want to bring along lawn chairs if you want a campfire. If you are addicted to your devices this might not be a good place for you. (We have T-mobile.) If you don't know whether you are addicted to your devices, this is the perfect place to find out if you are. 😉 There are plenty of board games for guests to enjoy. It's about an hour and a half drive to get to the Grand Canyon south entrance. Almost all windows are in need of screen replacements. The cabin could use a thorough cleaning (windows and sills). I cleaned them myself this time, because I like clean windows. Otherwise, the cabin was acceptable for overall cleanliness. 😊 Overall, we had a very nice stay.

We've stayed here a few times and always love it. Not as much wildlife as in the past. The prairie dog village in the pasture is gone. We didn't see badgers, foxes, coyotes, or eagles that used to prey on the prairie dogs. No elk this time. So, to my only complaint...raising the price to $165/night from $100/night feels excessive, especially since no improvements were made, except the new "outhouse" that I never use.

The cabin was easy to find. There was plenty of parking. The area surrounding the cabin is beautiful and was quiet for us. It was much cleaner than expected. A couple of field mice were dead in traps in the kitchen. No surprise there. There was plenty of firewood. We brought sleeping bags and just slept on top of the mattresses. Central heating was available. The shower was probably the most disappointing. The water drained very slowly so you ended up standing in a few inches of water. We spent time at the Grand Canyon and Williams. South rim visitor center is about 1 1/2 hrs drive from the cabin. Overall, great experience and we would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, although we had to clean twice. The people prior to us left the cabin only in a semi-clean state. Other than that, it was a lovely retreat to break away from our "electronic lives". No TV, no radio, and very little cell coverage, although we did get through enough. Cabin has typical kitchen supplies, but was surprised at no microwave...not that I use one, except to reheat coffee or water. Cabin is plenty warm with space heaters and fireplace. Items we should have brought to make life a little easier: blender, an axe (they don't supply one) and a chef's knife that's actually sharp. The axe would have helped to split the large wood pieces into smaller kindling. Items we did bring to make it a bit more enjoyable: Extension cord for more outdoor lighting at night, board games, and favorite book or magazines. There are two picnic tables available, and a long stretch of driveway if you're target practicing with a bow or blowgun.
