Love the location of this cabin. Middle of nowhere with roads my Corolla can handle with no issues. Elk almost daily, the occaisonal bear, tons of chipmunks for the little ones to enjoy. Just wish the futons were newer.

We stayed a the cabin for a family gathering. It was great! We plan on returning next year.

Great visit. Cabin was much cleaner this time (compared to mid summer) and it seems that much has been done to control the mouse/ground squirrel population. Cell signal seemed to be better, could fairly reliably txt. Was happy to see the flyswatter I left was still there; it belongs to the cabin now.

A really nice cabin with everything you need, including killer views of the Meadow and distant mountains.

Enjoyed our stay here! On par with expectations for a simple cabin. Staff were communicative. Within reasonable distance of Flagstaff. Great place for birdwatching. Be sure to put away all of your food into the fridge to avoid any critters getting into it!

Beautiful view, Elk bugling every night

It’s one of our favorite escapes. We love how remote it feels, the beautiful meadows and lack of internet service. Makes for a very relaxing getaway.

Had a good time. Visited Sunset and Meteor Craters. Both in thier own way are a spectacular visit. Kayak the Colorado through Horseshoe Bend. Stood on the Corner also.

We had a wonderful time enjoying nature in the retired Forest Service Cabin in the woods. It was nearly as we remembered it 20 years ago. We wrote a long & detailed review, but this website requested us to “log in” again and our beautiful review was wiped out…. So in a nutshell, all is quite good! We hope to return again some day!
