How do I delete my account?

We're sorry to see you go! If you've decided to delete your OutReserve account, we'll walk you through the process and what it means for your data and reservation history.

Before you delete your account

Before proceeding, please keep in mind:

• Active reservations will be canceled. If you have any upcoming trips booked, deleting your account will cancel those reservations. You may be subject to the property's cancellation policy.
• Your data will be permanently removed. Once deleted, we cannot recover your account, saved properties, past reviews, or reservation history.
• Outstanding payments must be resolved. If you have any pending charges or refunds, please resolve these before deleting your account.

If you're looking to close your account due to privacy concerns or too many emails, you might prefer to update your privacy settings or email preferences instead.

How to delete your account

To permanently remove your OutReserve account:

1. Log in to your account on OutReserve
2. Go to Account Settings from your profile menu
3. Click Delete Account
4. Review the information about what will be deleted
5. Click Permanently Delete My Account

You'll receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted. This process typically completes within 2 hours.

What happens to your data

When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems, including:

• Profile information and login credentials
• Saved payment methods
• Saved properties and search preferences
• Communication preferences

We may retain certain transaction records for a limited time as required by law for tax and accounting purposes, but these records are no longer associated with an active account.

If you're not ready to permanently close your account, consider these alternatives:

• Adjust email preferences to reduce notifications
• Update privacy settings to control how your data is used
• Remove payment methods if that's your primary concern
