How to use OutReserve in ChatGPT
General InformationPlan your next camping trip just by chatting. With the OutReserve app in ChatGPT, you can describe the kind of place you're looking for and see matching campgrounds, RV parks, and RV rentals from OutReserve, the booking platform for the outdoors, right in your conversation.
What it is
The OutReserve app brings OutReserve's campground search and details into ChatGPT. You don't need to click through filters. Just describe what you want, like "riverside", "dog-friendly", or "full hookups", and ChatGPT shows matching results from OutReserve, often as interactive cards.
How to add OutReserve to ChatGPT
- Go to outreserve.com/chatgpt and click Connect ChatGPT App. This opens the OutReserve app in ChatGPT.
- Sign in to ChatGPT if asked, then follow the prompts to add or connect the app.
You can also find apps in ChatGPT under Settings. ChatGPT now lists apps inside Plugins. Whether an app is available to you depends on your ChatGPT plan, region, and workspace settings. If you use ChatGPT through work, your workspace admin may need to turn the app on.
How to use it in a chat
Start a new chat and either type @OutReserve or pick OutReserve from the + menu. Then ask for what you need. For example:
- "Find RV parks with 50-amp hookups near Moab for November 6 to 8."
- "Show me dog-friendly tent campgrounds near Asheville for next weekend."
- "Compare two lakefront campgrounds near Lake Tahoe."
- "Find a Class C RV rental near Phoenix that sleeps 4."
- "Tell me more about [campground name]: amenities, season, and reviews."
The more you share (where, when, site type, rig size, pets, must-have amenities), the better the matches.
What you can do
- Search campgrounds and RV parks by place, dates, site type (tent, RV, cabin, glamping), amenities, pet-friendliness, and more.
- Browse RV rentals in the United States by nightly rate, sleeping capacity, RV class, make, and model.
- See campground details like photos, ratings, season, amenities, and reviews.
- Set availability alerts (requires signing in to OutReserve). Ask OutReserve to watch a sold-out campground for your dates, list your alerts, or check whether an alert has openings. Learn more in How availability alerts work.
Booking your stay
When you find a place you like, tap through to OutReserve to book your site on outreserve.com.
Signing in to your OutReserve account
You don't need an OutReserve account to search and view campground details. Signed-in features, like availability alerts, ask you to sign in to OutReserve. ChatGPT opens a sign-in window. Sign in with your OutReserve account and approve the connection, then return to your chat.
You can review or disconnect connected apps at any time in ChatGPT under Settings.
Troubleshooting
- I can't find the OutReserve app. Use the Connect ChatGPT App button on outreserve.com/chatgpt. If the app still isn't available, it may not be offered on your plan, in your region, or in your workspace.
- ChatGPT isn't using OutReserve. Mention @OutReserve in your message, or select it from the + menu.
- Alerts aren't working. Make sure you're signed in to your OutReserve account. Alerts need a signed-in account.
- Something looks wrong in a result. Check the listing on outreserve.com before you book, and let us know at [email protected].
