Lovely and well maintained campground with lots of mature trees and large grassy areas. Great hosts. Super clean bathroom and showers. One of my favorites. Decent cell service.

When we arrived our campsite was filled with trash. Countless cigarette butts EVERYWHERE, trash in the fire pit (including the empty cigarette cartons), and burned pressure treated lumber.
Pressure treated lumber contains copper, chromium, and arsenic and should never be burned. I hope the person before us is ok.

We told the camp host and the site was cleaned, however there was still remaining cigarette butts, trash, and ash from the pressure treated lumber fire. We ended up altering our reservation and moving to another site in the campground. The new site was still covered in trash but manageable enough for us to clean ourselves.

We loved this place campground was nice and clean. We did go over holiday weekend so it was busy. Staff was easy to deal with and super friendly.

sites are black topped, fairly level and spacing is decent. It looked like most sites had a enclosed gravel area next to the pad. Helps keep mud and dirt down. Campground is wooded for the most part and offers shade to most sites. The downside is that means there are tree branches that could come down. I only saw two above us and they seemed well lodged in place. The campground is right on the Arkansas River and was peaceful to watch. Come to find out that barge traffic is the most efficient method to transport cargo.

Bring bug spray. The flies by the water sites are bad. But all else is great with this campground. It’s well-maintained, the bathrooms clean and the people friendly. I will always return when I’m in the area. It also has great cellular service. I had 4 bars all the time on AT&T.

No trails, No swim area. Looked like a few long term campers. Our fire pit was full of burned lumber pieces and melted plastic and other half burnt household trash. Had to clean out the pit to use it.
However, it's a quiet camp ground.
