What Guests Are Saying

Bandido Group Campground is praised for its cleanliness, spacious sites, good fire pits, and proximity to a creek, making it enjoyable for families. The campground offers plenty of shade and a secluded atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience. However, access issues due to a lack of communication about the gate code can be problematic for weekend visitors.

Bandido is excellent for large groups with many cars. There is plenty of parking throughout the campground as well as the front. The smallest site can hold more than ten people with the largest site holding more than thirty. There is no running water so you'll have to bring your own but there are great hiking trails nearby and it's fairly isolated so it truly feels like being in nature despite only being an hour from civilization. I've camped there a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time!

We rented site 2 so we could be in the center of the camp, and we were the only ones there! It was very nice to have the whole place to ourselves. The one big problem was the yellow jackets. This was at the end of October, and there were just swarms of them everywhere. Luckily, someone had left some traps behind that we refilled, and we also made our own (out of bacon and cardboard). We also highly recommend breakfast at Newcomb's Ranch before heading back down the hill.

I love this campground, although you can't fit that many rigs, and we wish it would be left to the equestrian's only!

Nice, clean, spacious and quiet campsites.
